On-site Supportive Services Program Development

Thanks to the vision of Holly and Drew Schaumber of Schaumber Development, Leadwell 360, LLC, was given the opportunity to develop this on-site supportive services model. Due to its significant impact in just a year, the program is now expanding to other sites across our community.

Currently, our team continues to develop on-site supportive services programming for the Schaumber properties and other local developers and property management companies in the Upstate of South Carolina. Our goal of the program is to develop vibrate, well-connected communities for those living in multi-family developments and face financial and other economic challenges that prevent them from achieving upward mobility. Simply put, our programs help struggling families and individuals find the resources they need to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Our Program Vision:

Fostering communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our Program Mission:

To provide accessible, impactful services that empower individuals and families to overcome hardship by fostering economic opportunities that lead to independence.

  • Children/Youth Activities
  • Adult Activities
  • Community Social Events
  • Health Fairs
  • Holiday Meals
  • Angel Tree
  • Milestone Celebrations

A HUGE thanks to the YMCA of Greenville, Jarrod Covington, and Matt Green for joining us and our residents at The Sullivan Apartments on Splash Day to provide free swimming lessons, life jackets, and the importance of pool safety.

The Residents’ Council

Each community is given the opportunity to join the Residents’ Council.

The benefits of having a Residents’ Council are to help plan community events and educational workshops, be a voice of support for the community, and bring ideas to the table that will improve the quality of life for all residents. The Residents’ Council meets one evening per month to discuss community plans and activities.

On-site Education and Training Services

The Supportive Services Program is designed to bring agencies and service providers on-site to share the following opportunities for residents:

  • Tenant Educations and Fair Housing Training
  • Job Training
  • Financial Empowerment Training
  • Head Start (Early Childhood Education Program)
  • Parenting Support Classes
  • Healthcare Screening Events
  • Community Awareness Events

We are grateful to Lara Fernicola and her team at Pendleton Place for working with our families at the Sullivan to host the Strengthening Families Program (SFP). In partnership with the Children’s Trust Fund of SC, this program provides a 14-week training course that helps parents learn positive discipline and communication skills to reduce conflict in the home. It also assists with developing social skills, relationships and school performance. What a great program!
